On this project I joined as a junior designer assisting the senior members with their map designs. I was creating blockouts using their designs but improving on them where possible.
I then scripted mission objectives and encounters using inhouse tools creating stealth gameplay that could be tackled from multiple angles. Giving enemies their own paths and routines for the player to learn and adjust to as they explored spaces. I prototyped environmental mechanics that the player could interact with and make use of during exploration working closely with programmers and designers to create a reactive world.
We also worked to rework areas of the game during production creating new blockouts and designs to better suit incoming feedback. Working with tutorialisation and being subtle in teaching the player mechanics and methods.
